Microsoft announced that after the first 24 hours of the new operating system's availability, Windows 10 has now been installed on more than 14 million devices.
The company is still distributing the operating system and if you haven't received a notification, you should be patient as it says it may take a few weeks before everyone interested receives the new Windows 10.
While Microsoft hasn't reported exact numbers, we know that there were 5 million Windows Insiders which means that around 9 million consumers installed the new operating system for the first time on their computer.
Microsoft has publicly stated that it aims to have Windows 10 installed on 1 billion computers three years after its launch, but it seems to be far from that. However, the company seems to be quite satisfied with the installation rate.
With a little math, 14,000,000 in 24 hours equals 583,333 installs per hour, 9,722 installs per minute, and 162 installs per second. Of course, this rate won't last forever.
