Several publications have been released today stating that Google will present the latest version of its mobile operating system, Android, at the Google I/O developer conference on May 28 in San Francisco. The name of the new operating system is reported to be Android M.
Several websites published today about the official announcement of the I/O conference by Google. The invitation they received contained the conference program as well as a special mention of “Android M.”
The description said there would be a new series of important features dedicated to using Android in the workplace. Google talked about the “power of Android across all workplaces.”
The company is expected to announce the M version of Android at the event, but to date there is no information about the new operating system.
What Google should develop in the new operating system is more or less known to all Android fans: a closer integration of the operating system with the Google Fit health data platform as well as the Google Now digital assistant.
Users also need improvements to the messaging hub, gesture control, more power-saving features, as well as better synchronization and control of notifications across devices.
All of the above would be included in the ideal upcoming Android. However, we cannot know what Android M will bring.
At I/O 2014, Google introduced the new Android L OS, which eventually became known as Android Lollipop. So, Android M OS will eventually get a candy name, as the company usually does. How about Android M&Ms?
