Facebook, following Google's example, recently launched a safety and monitoring tool for victims and missing earthquake victims and their families.

According to the latest information, the authorities' toll raises the number of dead to 2,460 and the number of injured to around 6,500.
In India, authorities say 57 people have died. In Tibet, at least 17 people have died, the Chinese news agency reported.
