Sony Mobile has just announced a new smartphone, the Xperia Z4, in Japan. The new device looks nothing like the photos that have been leaked over the past couple of weeks.
There don't seem to be any surprises in the specs. Let's see what the new Xperia Z4 brings. The device has a metal frame and comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system. Its display will be a 5.2-inch LCD at 1080p. The smartphone has IP67, IP5, IP8 certifications, meaning it is dust and water resistant (water resistant does not mean waterproof).
Sony has confirmed that the device will be powered by a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. The device's storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.
The Sony Xperia Z4 will be 6.9mm thick, making it even thinner than its predecessor, the Xperia Z3. On the back, the smartphone features an impressive 20.7-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, while on the front there is a secondary 5.1-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.
It's also worth mentioning that the Xperia Z4 will be powered by a non-removable 2,930 mAh battery, which has not been rated by the manufacturer yet.
The device will be released in Aqua Green, Black, Bronze and White colors.
