The Internet Archive may have started as a web preservation service, but it has since expanded into many different areas.
They already provide access to movies, sounds, software and image files. A recent addition to the archive is the section on internet games.
To date, it has offered downloads for various computer systems as well as video game consoles and options to play some of these games online.
Today, the service's administrators added around 2,400 DOS games to their collection. These games can be played directly from the Internet Archive. The collection contains many classic games.
Some examples; Bruce Lee, Maniac Mansion, Zak Mc Kracken, Alien Mindbenders, Duke Nukem 3D, Lotus the Ultimate Challenge, Wolfenstein 3D, Indiana Jones and the last crusade, The Lost Vikings, Championship Manager, Speedball 2, Turrican II, King's Bounty, Master of Orion, Eye of the Beholder, 4D Prince of Persia and many more.
