Ghost Gunner: Semi-automatic weapons are set to be in every home from now on. And without serial numbers, meaning no history checks. American anarchist, gun advocate, and digital gunsmith Cody Wilson, who printed the world's first 3D gun, has released an all-in-one desktop CNC mill called the Ghost Gunner. The machine can produce an AR-15 from aluminum in one to two hours. (The AR-15 semi-automatic is the civilian version of the military M-16.)
The Ghost Gunner is programmed to produce 80 percent of the gun. From there, all you have to do is buy the remaining parts, which are freely sold online, to assemble a working semi-automatic gun. As Wilson explains on the product website, “the Ghost Gunner can help you legally build serial-free firearms in the comfort of your own home.”
Pre-orders for the Ghost Gunner began this week, with prices ranging from $999 to $1,299. Of course, Cody Wilson's "company,"Defense Distributed, sold out the initial 175 units it had announced in one day. The very next day, an additional 100 units the company announced were also sold out in no time.
