Microsoft is one of the companies planning to enter the wearable devices market, launching its own SmartWatch.
According to a new report published on the website “Tom's Hardware” and citing reliable information from people related to the company, Microsoft is expected to launch its new smartwatch this October, while sales are very likely to begin within the next month.
The report claims that Microsoft's smartwatch will be very thin and will have a total of 11 sensors built in, while the display will be placed on the inside of the wrist. The company likely came up with this design because "turning our palm to look at the watch is a much more natural movement.".
Redmond, however, has not confirmed the above information, but as is well known, the company avoids revealing information about its future projects.
Previous reports on the matter have highlighted a wide range of new features, including compatibility not only with Windows devices, but also with Android and iOS. Microsoft seems to be trying to appeal to a wider consumer audience, gaining a significant advantage in the “battle” against other SmartWatch manufacturers that focus only on a single platform.
