Microsoft has announced that the first Halo, specifically for the next-generation Xbox One console, will be released in the fall of 2015.
The full title of the video game is Halo 5: Guardians and according to Bonnie Ross, general manager of the production company 343 Industries, the title will be a much larger project than the previous Halo 4.
The differences will be identified both in terms of content and in terms of the technology that will be used, which will be based on a new, more powerful graphics engine.
It is worth noting that Halo 4 was launched in 2012 and was the first title in the new Halo trilogy, developed by 343 Industries, which is now owned by Microsoft.
Ross also confirmed that the Halo TV series, which 343 Industries will be collaborating with Steven Spielberg on, could debut around the same time as Guardians.
No further details about the plot of Halo 5 have been released, but more information is expected to be released during the E3 exhibition in Los Angeles, where Microsoft will hold a special event on June 9.
