SurroundWeb; Microsoft impressed the CES 2013 audience with the IllumiRoom, a concept that aims to extend gaming to the entire room using the Kinect sensor and a video projector, and later there were rumors of integration with the Xbox One.

In the end, neither of the two progressed to commercial use, but the company's research department decided to evolve the idea by adding extra cameras, tablets and video projectors so that it can display web content on walls and tables. Even more interesting is the fact that the user will have the ability to interact with them!
The concept is called SurroundWeb and could be used in the home of the future. For example, the user is in the kitchen and reads directly on his table the recipe that interests him or places a beer on his living‑room table and the calories appear next to it.
Microsoft emphasizes that the information recorded by the cameras from the home is not sent back to the websites, thus ensuring privacy and security. Quite interesting, but it will probably be a few years before we see something like this in practice.
