Chinese company Huawei is entering the wearables spaceby introducing a new phone that also includes fitness features.
The Chinese company presented the Talkband B1 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona and priced at around €99 or $136, which is a wearable watch, mobile phone and fitness tracker (it tracks your steps, calories burned, and how well you slept). It also has Bluetooth 4.1 headphones
It has a curved 1.4-inch OLED screen, which is not touch-sensitive, a single button that performs all tasks, and a strap that has USB pins so you can charge it by plugging its strap into your computer.
The Talkband B1 can be removed from its bracelet, used to make a call, and then replaced in its place, monitoring your health all day and even while you sleep. It has an IP57 rating, which means it can even be worn in the shower (not suitable for long dives). It has seven hours of talk time and two weeks of standby time. It is compatible with devices from Android 2.3 and above and iOS 4.0 and above, and also supports NFC.
It will likely appear on store shelves around the second half of 2014.
