A Rock(?) music band is made up of 3 robots made in Japan. The robots are called Z-Machines, and brace yourselves – the guitarist has 78 fingers, while the drummer has 22 arms. The band’s creators initially collaborated with composer Squarepusher to just explore making music for bots, but they ended up creating an entire album of five tracks.
“This project uses familiar instruments, but in ways that were previously impossible to use,” says Squarepusher.
The band's machine-like members can play in ways no human can, composing for those involved in great challenges.
Check out their first single, "Sad Robot Goes Funny."
