Flappy Bird developer wants to remove it from iTunes

Vietnamese developer Dong Nguyen looks set to remove his Flappy Bird game from iTunes because, as he says, he can't stand the arguments with everyone who downloads it anymore.

The Vietnamese developer has created one of the most annoying and addictive games ever released on the App Store. The game is incredibly annoying and as you can imagine, the reviews written by those who play it are not the best, or the most polite. Nguyen tweeted, “Sorry Flappy Bird players, in 22 hours from now, I will download Flappy Bird. I can’t take it anymore.”

In a subsequent tweet, he states, "I can call Flappy Bird a success. But it's also ruining my simple life. So now I hate it."

Perhaps Nguyen is sensitive enough to react this way just by reading the reviews of Flappy Bird players. If you notice, on iTunes, despite the bad reviews, most of the ratings are five stars. So what's the problem?
Newsweek reports that many of the reviews on iTunes contain "strikingly bad language." The wording is negative, but surprisingly most of them voted it a five-star rating.

Perhaps Nguyen's stance is just a communication trick aimed at further advertising the application. Threatening people who have been reading about the most addictive game for several days, it could result in thousands of downloads from iTunes.
At the moment, Flappy Bird is still available on the App Store. According to Nguyen's promise, the game should be removed within a few hours.
