The Economic Police and Cybercrime Prosecution Service arrested yesterday (25.09.2013) in the afternoon, in the Ampelokipi area, a 30-year-old Polish national, against whom a criminal case was filed, for committing robberies against men, whom she approached via the internet, and for violating the weapons legislation.
To achieve her goal, she had created a "profile" on a social networking site for dating, using a pseudonym, and through it she came into contact with her unsuspecting victims.
Specifically, after persuading them to have personal contact under the pretext of sexual intercourse, he would drive them to various locations or to their homes and, without being noticed, would put a sleeping pill in their drink. Then, after they had fallen into a state of weakness or hypnosis, he would remove various money or valuables from the cars or from inside the homes.
From the police investigation so far, it has emerged that since early June, using this specific methodology of action, he removed various amounts of money and valuables from at least five (5) men, with whom he had gone to their homes or to various points and areas of Attica.
In order to investigate the case and arrest the perpetrator, a thorough digital investigation was carried out, within the framework of which police officers from the Economic Police & Cybercrime Prosecution Service located the 30-year-old yesterday (25.09.2013) afternoon, in the Ampelokipi area.
In a search carried out at her home in Egaleo, in the presence of a Judicial Officer, but also in her possession, various objects were seized, many of which were identified and returned to the victims.
Specifically, they found:
seven (7) mobile phones and five (5) branded wristwatches
two (2) portable music players and two (2) laptop computers
ten (10) pairs of cufflinks and five (5) debit cards from various banks
handwritten notes and one (1) means of spraying chemicals (SPRAY) as well as
a quantity of white powder of an investigated chemical composition, in a plastic cup, which will be sent for laboratory tests.
The 30-year-old foreigner is being taken to the Athens Criminal Court Prosecutor's Office, while the investigation continues to determine her possible participation in other similar offenses.
