Google's Project Loon, which aims to fly a balloon that will be guided via the Internet to remote parts of the world, may seem more like a Sci-Fi story than reality, but Google is convinced that it can be done.
There are, however, many doubters about this achievement, so much so that Google was forced to provide more details about how they are supposedly working on this project.
It also introduced the new Loon project to its Google+ community, where anyone interested in the project can discuss and share their ideas.
So far, most of the comments that appear are positive, but that's not surprising given that the Google+ community tends to be made up of Google fans.
The big concerns that the interlocutors have about Project Loon have to do with control. Balloons are not flexible, and even modern ones basically go where the wind takes them.
However, Google claims that by monitoring the various winds and adjusting the altitude, it can go wherever it is needed or even have the balloon remain in approximately the same position, regardless of the winds.
