Realtek has just released a new HD audio driver, version 6.0.1.7915, which is compatible with 64-bit versions of Microsoft's Anniversary Edition for Windows 10 Threshold.
Since there is no list of changes, we assume that this update will implement some minor improvements in terms of stability, performance, and sound quality. However, you will have to install the new version and find out what the improvements are.

Therefore, to upgrade this version correctly, first of all make sure that your system OS is supported, save and unzip the available file to an accessible location (like your desktop), and locate and run the available “setup.exe” file.
Then, simply follow all the instructions that appear on your screen for a complete and successful upgrade and make sure to give permission to the wizard to perform a reboot so that the changes take effect in the correct way. If you are not prompted automatically, perform this step manually.
We recommend that you do not try to install the updated Realtek version on other platforms than the one we mention above, even if it seems to work. Doing so could lead to malfunctions that will later require you to remove the 7915 build and reinstall the previous driver.
With this in mind, download Realtek 6.0.1.7915 by clicking here to install it.
