
A Tutorial that will help you remove all old posts from your Facebook timeline
Many times, it happens that we have made a post on FB years ago and today it haunts us. Imagine all those posts you made when you were in university and now they can suddenly appear one day on your timeline and put you in an awkward position. Also, Facebook is famous for reminding its users of things they have posted in the past!
Let's face it, we've all made some really bad posts when we were upset or drunk. This guide will help you remove all those old crappy posts.
First, you should know that your timeline is publicly visible.
Go to your timeline, click the three dots to the right of the activity log, select “View as…” and you should see this:
Take a good look and anything you don’t like, click on the date below your name, click on the globe icon and change from “Public” to “Friends,” “only me,” or “Custom.” Alternatively, you can delete the post entirely by clicking the “X” button.
If you just want to hide old posts on your FB:
Facebook also has a tool to help you hide multiple posts from your timeline at once. Click the security lock in the top right corner of Facebook, select 'See More Settings' and click Limit Past Posts. You should see the following pop-up message, click the blue “Limit Past Posts” button to change the visibility of all your past posts to “Friends”:
