The bank's security cameras recorded the perpetrators' movements and Barclays, in an effort to keep customers alert, made it public.
How they steal from you without you realizing it
- The bank customer is in front of the ATM waiting to make a withdrawal
- An unknown woman stands right behind him, watching him and seeing the pin
- She drops her bag
- The customer rushes to help her
- The next customer (a member of the gang) grabs the card and replaces it with another fake one.
- The customer turns around and takes his money and the fake card
- The woman and the man have managed to steal his PlN along with his card.
