Microsoft has just released Skype 6.20 for iOS devices to introduce a number of exciting improvements, including the ability to find bots, but they also beefed up notifications and chat settings. While Windows Phone users are angry about Microsoft's decision to remove Skype from WP 8.0 and 8.1, the company continues to work on improving non-Windows clients.
Bots are the next best thing at Microsoft, and after announcing them at Build earlier this year, the company is now working hard to make them even better. This new version of Skype comes with a new option that allows users to quickly find bots for iOS devices to start a conversation from the main screen.
Microsoft said in a statement:
“You’ll notice that in this release we’ve added a bot icon to the ‘Recents’ header, which makes discovering bots really simple. Simply tap the icon to open the list of Skype Bots you can start talking to. We’ve also added the ability to add the bots you want to your favorites list, so you can always find them at the top of your Skype contacts list.”

Additionally, starting with version 6.20, Skype for iOS also comes with better notifications, as the team focused on improving their reliability. Additionally, muted conversations will no longer appear in the unread messages list.
As always, the new update is available on the iOS App Store, and anyone can download it right away and see all the aforementioned improvements in action.
