Here's how to find Facebook reactions, if you don't see them yet

After a year of development, Facebook yesterday updated its “like” button to allow FB users to respond with six new reactions. Now you can “love,” say “Haha” or “Wow,” be sad or angry when you see a Facebook post.

However, many users have reported that they still can't see the new Facebook reactions in their News Feed. For those people, here's a short tutorial on how to enable the new Facebook "reactions" on their timeline:

Desktop

On the desktop version of Facebook, go to the post you want to comment on and simply hover your mouse over the Like button. If Facebook reactions have arrived in your country, the new reactions should appear in a bar above.

Click on one of the reactions and the post will now show the top three reactions it has received. Clicking on these reactions will give you a breakdown of how many people have used each reaction.

Remember that you can only use one reaction to comment on a post, and you can also change it if you change your mind later. Also, be careful, as “wow” or “love” can accidentally be selected when you hover over the new options.

On the Facebook App on your smartphones

On the Facebook mobile app, you may have to close the app completely and reopen it before the reactions will appear. Once you tap the Like button on a post, a message will appear instructing you to hold that button to display the other reactions.

Facebook said that reactions are currently only available for use on posts, photos and videos, not individual comments, but they will soon be available there as well.
