Latest iOS is no longer vulnerable to lock screen attacks

The screen that allowed anyone with access to an iOS device running iOS 9.0 and iOS 9.0.1 to access all photos and contacts has been fixed by Apple in iOS 9.0.2.

According to an update on the website, regarding the security in iOS 9.0.2, the lock screen issue was the only bug fixed in the latest version of iOS.

As reported by Apple, the bug affected any customer who had an iPhone 4S and later, iPad 2, or iPod touch (5th generation), as long as they had updated to either iOS 9.0 or iOS 9.0.1

Additionally, Apple states in the article about the iOS 9.0.2 security update that “this issue was addressed by limiting the options offered on a locked device.”

The new iOS version fixes the lock screen security flaw found in previous iOS versions

Once you update your iOS devices to iOS 9.0.2, accessing photos and contacts from the lock screen via Siri should no longer be possible, and you will once again be able to use Apple's iOS personal assistant, even when the device is locked.

If you haven't already updated your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS 9.0.2, you can do so by launching the Settings app, going to General > Software Update on your device, and tapping "Download and Install.".

If the update is impossible due to a weak network signal in your area, you can also connect your iOS device to your Mac and click the “Check for Updates” button.

Download iOS 9.0.2 for iPhone and iPod or iOS 9.0.2 for iPads from our website to get rid of the lock screen found in iOS 9.0 and 9.0.1.
