HTML5: free six-week course from W3C
Are you interested in learning how to develop websites and applications? Because programming is the future, we present the W3C offer. You can learn HTML5, the standardized language of the Internet, for free with courses directly from the W3C (World Wide Web Consortium), which developed HTML5.
The courses will run for six weeks starting in June, but you can sign up now on edX. You'll learn about the new features introduced in HTML5 and how they can work with video, audio, and web applications, both on desktop and mobile devices.
The courses require some basic HTML knowledge and some familiarity with CSS (JavaScript would be helpful, but not required).
If you want to take the W3C courses, and you think that basic knowledge is not enough, you can take some basic courses before starting, from this guide by designer and developer Shay Howe.
The guide will give you the basic HTML and CSS knowledge you need for free.
There is an option on edX to get a certificate of attendance for a small fee, but even if you don't want to, you will have access to all the material.
