Alex Kipman has been working for Microsoft for about 15 years and in 2011 was considered one of the company's most creative people.
If there's one word to describe him, it's "inventor," after last week he unveiled HoloLensaugmented reality headset. His presentation, however, focused on how the headset could lead to a virtual reality experience that a traditional computer can't.
Specifically, it is a headset that displays 3-D “holograms” in front of your eyes, which you can interact with by approaching and touching them as if they were actually in front of your face.
This is one of the company's most ambitious products in years, since behind the HoloLens is a new version of Windows.
Kipman is also the creator of Kinect, Microsoft, a device that was the fastest-selling when it first hit the market in late 2010.
His work on the Xbox division also brought him tons of awards and accolades. Microsoft gave him two awards in 2012. One was for his outstanding technical achievement and the other for his outstanding technical leadership.
