Microsoft has added Bitcointo all of its service user accounts. Users can now add funds to their accounts and make digital purchases from the Windows, Windows Phone, Xbox Games, Xbox Music, and Xbox video online stores.
The service's support is currently limited to allowing users to add ready-made amounts to their account, while there is no option for direct purchase. Up to $100 can be added at a time, and the option is currently only available to US accounts. The service is supported through BitPay, as are other services, including PayPal and Newegg, which also use the same intermediary.
Microsoft has not announced any plans at this time to add support for Linden Dollars, InterStellar Kredits, or Project Entropia Dollars .
To add funds to your Microsoft account, simply sign in to your account, select Payment options and redeem in the service, and after selecting the default amount you wish to complete the transaction. Of course, the well-known terms of use of the service apply here as well. Detailed instructions can be found on the official Microsoft website, in the commerce category from the account menu.
