Microsoft supports and celebrates the "Hour of Code", one of the largest global educational campaigns, which is held in collaboration with the non-profit organization Code.org as part of Computer.
Microsoft Hellas is actively participating in the campaign, with a series of actions in schools, universities and libraries taking place this week, between December 8 and 12. More specifically, through targeted actions, Microsoft Hellas has organized an information cycle around programming, aiming to make it more accessible and accessible to the wider public. At the same time, it encourages professors and teachers to organize an “Hour of Code” in their classroom, utilizing the interactive educational material found on the page www.microsoft.com/hourofcode.
Technology, and specifically the use of computers, is now a very important part of our everyday lives. Microsoft aims to introduce and strengthen digital skills in the lives of young people, starting from their school years. It therefore actively participates in the dissemination of the Hour of Code, through various actions, with the aim of highlighting the importance of programming, especially in the course of students' professional careers, emphasizing the message "we all start somewhere". The Hour of Code campaign enables students to take the first step through fun and easy ways of learning.
Microsoft's goal, through this initiative, is to encourage millions of students from around the world to test their programming skills by attending An Hour of Code, through flexible and interactive lessons, which are designed for all ages and all levels of knowledge.
