Many of you use Viber for private conversations with your friends. The app knows how to offer communication over the internet with features like voice and video calls, voice messages, etc. Now, it offers something else that is absent from its competitors. That is Public Chats.
If you update the Android or iOS Viber app to version 5.1, you will notice a new icon in the menu with the icons. This leads to the screen with public chats, which will be empty the first time you visit it.
You can search for public conversations, watching conversations from celebrities, brands and interesting people. By following conversations, you can add them to the public conversations screen to follow them.
Each public chat normally contains the messages of its participants, and also displays its number of followers. Users who follow a discussion can indicate that they like specific messages by tapping the heart icon on the right side. This way the most popular messages are more easily identified.
Currently, the new feature is experimental and only a few are those who receive an invitation to create public conversations. In the future, however, perhaps anyone can do it!
