See table with the general ranking of the new members of the government based on the number of those following them - Who is in the first positions and who is in the last
How is the new government doing on Twitter? Which of the politicians holding ministerial positions after the reshuffle are among the most popular and who have the most followers?
Reforme.gr searched for all the old and new ministers and, in addition to the Top 3, also formed the general ranking of ministers and deputy ministers who have an account on the popular social networking site. It is noted that of the 42 members of the new government, only 25 tweet, while the Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras, is not included in the measurement because he uses the @PrimeministerGR account operated by the current Prime Minister of the country.
The politician and minister with the most followers is Evangelos Venizelos. The Minister of Foreign Affairs has an account with 32,400 followers and is in first place, and in fact by a large margin from the second place, which is the Minister of Administrative Reform, Kyriakos Mitsotakis with 22,100 followers. In third place we find the Minister of Infrastructure, Michalis Chrysochoidis with 13,900 followers, while following with a small margin, is the Minister of Education, Andreas Loverdos who has 13,700 followers. The top five is completed by the Minister of Development, Nikos Dendias with 11,600 followers.
In sixth place is Deputy Minister of Development Notis Mitarakis, followed by Minister of Shipping Miltiadis Varvitsiotis, Minister of Health Makis Voridis, Deputy Minister of Finance Christos Staikouras and Deputy Minister of Defense Fofi Gennimata.
As reforme.gr notes, apart from the top of the list, most members of the new government have a relatively small number of followers, which has to do initially with the length of time they have been on the network but mainly with the way they use their accounts.
