An electronic application sent via email intercepts all of users' electronic contacts and bombards them with spam messages.
The TWOO application sends emails to unsuspecting internet users with the subject “User …. left a message for you. Check your message”. If the user makes the mistake of clicking on the corresponding banner, the application asks the user to confirm access to their details in order to read the alleged message. However, in this way, all the details contained in the contacts are intercepted. Then, the user’s contacts are bombarded with spam, as we read on treno.gr.
The Cybercrime Prosecution Service, which is investigating the matter, has already received complaints regarding the matter.
