Questions and oversight by citizens on MPs and MEPs
VouliWatch is the first Greek digital platform that gives citizens the ability to learn how the legislative authority works, to communicate, to evaluate and to monitor the MPs and MEPs.
With the motto "We Strengthen Democracy", the platform operates in beta mode at the following address www.vouliwatch.gr.
Through Vouliwatch the citizen brings to light issues of local or national interest, monitors the MPs and MEPs for their parliamentary activity, evaluates them, submits proposals and discusses political current affairs. He/she can even see his/her question reach the Parliament in the form of parliamentary scrutiny (e.g., report, question, follow-up question, etc.).
On the other hand, elected representatives (members of parliament and MEPs) have the ability to respond directly to citizens, to be informed about specific issues, to showcase their legislative work, and to be evaluated for their performance in the parliamentary and democratic process.
It is an independent, non-profit initiative that already operates in other countries both within and outside Europe and aims to strengthen dialogue, knowledge, political participation, and accountability between citizens and politicians.
