The hacking group with the pseudonym 'The Islamic Cyber Resistance Group' claims to have hacked the Israeli Civil Aviation Authority website (iaa.gov.il) and gained access to its internal network.
According to FarNews, the group has obtained sensitive information about domestic and international maps. The hackers also said they had the ability to disrupt services, such as flight routing or communications between planes and ground stations.
"By the grace of God, we managed to gain access to the Lan network of iaa.gov.il and in addition to obtaining sensitive information, we took full control of the administration panel.".
The hackers claimed to have had access to the server for months and that they managed to steal a huge amount of data.
The leaked information is included in the following files: “Information database of domestic and international flights”, “Flight information files exclusively for pilots and control towers”, “Maps and weather conditions”, “Information regarding flight management and routing software”.
