The latest version of Google Play Services (25.46) is out today, and the release notes preview new media and Find Hub features. As always, it takes a while for the aforementioned features to reach users. With this new feature, you'll get device transfer suggestions with a tap in the media item section and suggested devices in the media output switcher.

This is in reference to what Google previewed in January 2023: “Through notifications on your devices, you’ll be able to tap to start listening to a podcast in the car, continue on your phone and headphones, and finish on your TV at home. As you move around naturally, you’ll see these media notifications on your phone or other devices, asking if you want to cast the audio to a nearby device.”
Google said it was “developing a way for your audio content to follow you throughout your day,” with YouTube Music and Spotify listed as partners. This was previewed alongside Spotify Connect in Android’s media switcher, which was released in 2024.
The description sounds slightly different than the original announcement, as users need to go to the media switcher. This is apparently coming soon and will join Tap to Cast between the Pixel Tablet and phones.

Meanwhile, the Security & Privacy section of the Play Services release notes has:
Support for Find Hub's new object location sharing feature by providing a service to manage the encryption and aggregation of object locations shared via URL.
This could be part of the abilityto “share your Bluetooth tag location with some of your favorite airlines early next year.” This was previewed at I/O 2025 in May to make it easier to find lost luggage.

The link-based sharing available today in Find Hub for trackers/tags is only for individuals. If Google's approach matches Apple's AirTag-airline implementation, you'll create a link on your device and then share it with the airline.
