Apple is preparing to announce its flagship products for 2024, but according to a report, Apple will not launch the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

In a post on X, the usually reliable Mark Gurman of Bloomberg reports: “I don’t expect Apple to announce the Apple Watch Ultra 3 tomorrow. Instead, I believe the Ultra 2 will remain available and — finally — will get a black color option. Additionally, I don’t rule out a delay for the new Watch SE.”

This is interesting, as it represents a comprehensive turn in Gurman's predictions just a week earlier. This means either that the sources within the company are not as reliable as before, or that suddenly different information came to light.
Just a week ago, it announced: "For the first time in two years, the company plans to refresh all Apple Watch models at once. It will release a new, affordable Apple Watch SE, a mid-range Series 10 model, and the Ultra 3."
There's no Ultra 3 at this time, but a new color scheme for the Ultra 2 is likely in the works, according to Gurman. A color change is still a significant upgrade—we'd love to see a black Apple Watch Ultra 2.
The Ultra is, as its name suggests, the top watch in the series. If there's no Ultra 3, then suddenly we're in the ambiguous situation of the Apple Watch Series 10, which is still expected to launch with a more powerful and modern processor than the Ultra.

It is perhaps more likely that we will see an Ultra 3 with minimal upgrades, aside from a color change and an update to the processor to match the Series 10.

Gurman has significant contacts and excellent knowledge, so it is likely that he is right. However, the situation remains odd.
Everything is about to be revealed soon.
