Porsche Cars North America has signed an agreement with charging network ChargePoint, allowing drivers to charge their electric cars at the stations as part of the Porsche Charging Service.

The partnership between the German automaker and the EV charging network will increase the number of chargers available to Porsche customers in the US.
Timo Resch, president and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, said it was an important step as the new Taycan this summer as well as the all-new Macan Electric later in 2024.

Through the My Porsche app, drivers can easily find EV charging stations, use them and pay for charging. The partnership with the ChargePoint charging network adds to the existing integration with Electrify America, allowing Porsche EV and PHEV customers to charge their cars at ChargePoint charging stations via the My Porsche app.
With this latest addition, all Porsche Charging Service customers can charge their vehicles at more than 75% of all J1772 and CCS1 charging ports in the U.S. These additional charging stations will be available in Q4 2024.

Essentially, the partnership between Porsche Cars North America and ChargePoint offers Porsche drivers access to an extensive network of electric vehicle chargers, making it easier to find charging points and enhancing the practicality of using electric vehicles.
Porsche drivers will benefit from increased charger availability, as ChargePoint's network includes thousands of charging points in various locations, such as shopping malls, offices and public spaces.

This partnership will also strengthen consumer confidence in choosing Porsche electric vehicles, as access to a broad and reliable charging network is critical for everyday use and long-distance travel.
In late 2023, Porsche announced the planned implementation of the North American Charging Standard (NACS) for future products in North America. It is also exploring adapter solutions for its existing electric vehicles to access the Tesla Supercharger.
