Airbnb and ChargePoint have partnered to help hosts install EV chargers across the US in response to growing demand .

Airbnb reports that searches with the “EV charger” filter increased by over 80% from 2022 to 2023. The two companies will offer discounts to hosts in the US on home EV chargers and services .

Specifically, hosts can take advantage of discounts of up to 36% on various models of ChargePoint home EV chargers, with prices starting at $399 (~€368), as well as a $100 discount on installation, if the purchase is made through the ChargePoint website.
Airbnb is offering an additional $200 discount to the first 1,000 hosts who purchase an EV charger through ChargePoint.
According to Airbnb’s internal data , listings with a home EV charger have more bookings and generate higher average revenue compared to those without one. In 2023, the most popular states for searches for listings with a home EV charger were California, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Washington, and North Carolina.
The homestay giant's data reflects key trends in the market in the U.S. From 2022 to 2023, EV sales increased by 60% year-over-year, with California, Florida, Texas, and Washington recording the highest number of EV registrations.
