After six months, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet now have support for Pokémon Home, allowing players to transfer some of their old favorite ‘mons from the storage app to the latest games. The updated version allows a selected number of Pokémon to join your journey in Paldea, but as fans have explored the update, they have discovered some drawbacks that have called into question the competitive meta of Scarlet and Violet.

The good news is that Scarlet and Violet's roster has been expanded by 70 Pokémon. These additions can't be caught in the wild, but if you have them in your Home box, you can now send them to your Paldean party. Some of these were available as seven-star tera raids, but there are a number of new additions, including legendaries from Gen VII and Hisuian forms from Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
Which Pokémon can you transfer to Scarlet and Violet?

When will the maintenance of Pokémon Home end?
The Home is under maintenance since the update started and will last until 11 p.m. PT. The bad news with the transfer is that some moves from older games will not be transferred and this has removed certain Pokémon from the competitive scene. This happens in a few cases, but generally some can learn moves in games like Sword and Shield that are not available in them in Scarlet and Violet. You can still transfer a Pokémon between games, but its moves will be reset when transferred. In most cases, you can teach them those moves again and continue from where you left off, but if a move is not available in the newer games, it cannot be taught using items or the Move Relearner. Serebii has tested Pokémon trading between games and those forgotten moves are still available if you send them back to an older game, but it seems that some competitive players will have to rethink certain builds until those moves are restored either in a future update or perhaps in a future game.
While transferring old Pokémon to Scarlet and Violet is a privilege, anyone who links their save file to Home will also receive a new Sprigatito, Quaxly and Fuecoco with rare abilities.
