Apple releases iOS 16.5 beta 1 to developers

Screen recording via Siri

Siri is now available to your rescue, as Apple unveils iOS 16.5 beta 1, which allows users to start and end their screen recordings without having to navigate to Control Center manually – a significant improvement over its predecessor! As 9to5Mac reports, all you have to do is simply ask Siri to do the process and she will do the rest.

Sports tab in Apple News

MacRumors recently revealed that iOS 16.5 beta 1 has combined the News app's Search and Following tabs to make room for a brand new Sports tab, which includes up-to-date news and scores for your favorite teams.

Are you ready to experience the newest iOS 16.5 beta 1? If you're already enrolled in Apple's developer program, follow these simple steps to update your compatible iPhone and start exploring!

  1. Launch the Settings app.
  2. Go to the General section.
  3. Click on Software Update.
  4. Give the page a few seconds to refresh.
  5. The update will then appear.
  6. Click on Download and the installation will take place.
  7. Accept the Terms of Service after reading them thoroughly and carefully.
  8. Make sure your iPhone is connected to a power source until the update is finished downloading and installing.
  9. You are now running iOS 16.5 beta 1.

Please note that beta profiles are no longer compatible with iOS and iPadOS beta updates starting with version 16.4. So make sure your Apple ID is enrolled in the Apple Developer Program to take advantage of iOS beta updates on day one. Alternatively, you could join the public beta program for free and receive these pre-release updates a day or so later.
