The latest iPhone 15 Pro leak reveals that Apple is finally unifying the volume and mute buttons into a single button.
After months of speculation, the latest iteration of iPhones – specifically, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Max Pro models – have been confirmed to feature a unified volume button as well as a mute switch based on CAD images released in ShrimpApplePro 's viral video posted on TikTok China .
The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to have a longer volume button, rather than separate volume up and down buttons. Additionally, the mute switch has been on iPhones since 2007, and it's possible that it could become an actual mute button that can be pressed to mute or unmute your phone .

Rumor has it that both the volume and mute buttons will be solid-state designs. Instead of having to be pressed manually, two additional Taptic Engines inside the iPhone will provide haptic feedback to simulate physical movement — similar to how the Home button on current iPhones or the Force Touch trackpads found on newer MacBooks work .
As usual, the flagship iPhone 15 and the Plus will be equipped with two volume buttons and a mute switch, as confirmed by additional CAD. We can expect the entire Apple sometime in September!
