Microsoft is now offering the Outlook email and calendar client for Mac at no cost, eliminating the need to purchase an Office license or Microsoft 365.

Outlook for Mac offers comprehensive support for multiple email accounts, including Microsoft 365, Outlook.com (Hotmail and MSN), Gmail , Yahoo Mail, iCloud, IMAP, and POP. All of these are available on the Mac App Store page
Additionally, it has been redesigned to be in harmony with the macOS user interface and to take full advantage of Apple's energy-efficient Arm-based chips.

Outlook for Mac lets you keep track of your reminders with its convenient integration into macOS Notification Center and its dedicated widget to help you keep track of everything that's coming up for the day. However, to access features like Handoff, you must be signed in to your iOS and macOS devices with the same Apple ID.
Last November, Microsoft introduced the revamped Outlook for Mac, providing Insiders in the Fast ring with streamlined Mail, Search, and Calendar experiences, as well as improved performance.
In the summer of 2020, Microsoft released a new version of Outlook for Mac to Insider Slow testers, which featured a “New Outlook” switch in the upper-right corner. This allowed them to experience the benefits of this innovative update firsthand.
