Nintendo has announced that it is ending support for signing in to accounts via Facebook and Twitter on October 25th. If you are asked to log back into your account after October 25th, you will need to enter the email address or username associated with your Nintendo Account. If you have not set up your Nintendo Account or have forgotten your password, you will need to select “Forgot your password?” on the Nintendo Account login page and follow the instructions. If you do not have access to your registered email address, you will not be able to change your email. You will need to contact Nintendo Customer Support. As mentioned above, you can also use Google or Apple account as long as you have previously linked them to your Nintendo Account.

The company apologizes for any inconvenience this change may cause.

Another change Nintendo announced is that it will be getting rid of image sharing on Wii U and Nintendo 3DS on the same day, October 25th. After that date, players will no longer be able to post images to Twitter or Facebook via Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. However, images and comments that have already been posted to Facebook and Twitter will not be affected. They will remain available even after October 25th.

Nintendo announced the two changes without providing further details on the reasons behind the decisions. However, the company's decision to no longer allow players to post images to Twitter or Facebook via the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS is not surprising, given that the company has been gradually abandoning various features for those two devices.
