If you own a OnePlus flagship model from 2020 and are brave enough to participate in the Open Beta program, there's news for you. OnePlus is now rolling out Open Beta 11 and Open Beta 6 for the OnePlus 8 series and OnePlus 8T, respectively.

The OxygenOSbrings the June security patch and a number of improvements, including more efficient battery consumption. OnePlus also claims that the audio experience has been improved when paired with the company's Watch or Buds. Also, if you're having issues connecting to a Wi-Fi network, the update should resolve them.
Changes brought by the OnePlus 8 update:
System
- Improved power consumption performance to extend battery life
- Screenshot function for AOD
- Android security patch update to 2021.06
Phone
- Improved audio experience when the phone is connected to OnePlus Watch and OnePlus Buds
OnePlus Sharing
- Improved the visual UI effect on the sharing page
Network
- Fixed occasional failure to connect to Wi-Fi network

Interestingly, the new OnePlus 8 update also introduces the ability to take screenshots of the always-on display. While it's not sure how useful this feature is, users will finally be able to share their customized AOD settings without any hassle.
If you are already part of the Open Beta program, you should receive this update as an OTA. However, if you haven't done so before and don't mind taking the risk, you can choose to flash the Open Beta by following the recommended procedure.
