Firefox's VPN service becomes an official Android app

Mozilla has launched a beta version of its VPN service for Android . The company , which has been trying to get into the VPN game for a while, has now launched an Android app for its Firefox Private Network (FPN). The app, which is in beta, is listed on the Play Store, but it's not yet available for purchase. According to the Play Store description , the app will allow users to protect their connection while using any app.

The Firefox Private Network app doesn't come with bandwidth restrictions, even when using public Wi-Fi. There is currently a waiting list for the app, so you'll need to wait until you accept an invitation before you can install the app on Windows 10 device.

The official Firefox Private Network website states that the service is currently in beta and costs $4.99 (around 350 euros) for thirty days. If you want to start using Firefox Private Network, you must first sign up for the waiting list. The app is currently available exclusively in the US, with the possibility of expanding to additional regions soon. The app is available for Windows 10, Android , and Chromebook , while iOS , Mac , and Linux users will have to wait a little longer.

Why choose Firefox Private Network?

The service is partnered with Mullvad, which, according to FPN's website, is committed to not tracking or logging your browsing or network history. Mullvad uses the newer WireGuard protocol, which improves encryption and boasts faster speeds.

Firefox Private Network was the result of Mozilla's revamped Firefox beta program. The FPN feature has been in testing for the past 12 months. It started as a browser-based VPN and is now available through full Android and Windows 10 apps.
