Kobe Bryant: Does Google consider his death a murder?

 Kobe Bryant

If you search Google for when popular former NBA basketball player Kobe Bryant died, the results show it as "murder date" instead of "death date. "

The result, which is listed as “murder date,” is for a Wikipedia about Bryant’s life and career. The word “murder” does not appear on the Wikipedia page, which does, however, display a message stating that the page is “being edited because the person it refers to recently passed away.”

Kobe Bryant died on Sunday, January 26, due to the crash of the helicopter he was traveling in near Malibu, which led to the death of a total of 9 people.

"Knowledge about the circumstances of the death and related events may change rapidly as more evidence emerges. Initial news reports may be unreliable, and the latest updates to this article may not reflect the most recent information," the Wikipedia page notes.

However, a similar Google search for “when did George HW Bush die” lists the day the 41st president died as “Date of Death.”.
