The developers of the powerful, free, open-source digital painting software Krita have just released version 4.2.8 of the Krita application.
The new version 4.1.8 has not yet been announced on the official application site, but you can see what it offers.
Krita is a graphics editor that uses Qt 5 and the KDE 5 framework.
Krita is designed as an advanced digital painting application.
The Cross Platform application has been influenced to some extent by closed source software such as Corel Painter and SAI. The application packs along with some basic functionality a few different features than most applications of its kind, including the ability to work with both bitmap and vector illustrations.
The app's developers are also trying to simplify user interaction and focus on features that are more relevant to painting and drawing.
Krita is free software distributed under the GNU General Public License (version 2). It was originally released as part of KOffice version 1.4.0, on June 21, 2005.
The program can run in Windows environments (also available in the Windows Store), Linux, and Mac OSX for both x64 or x86 architectures.
Attention: The application in the Windows Store is charged.
