Gmail Confidential Mode now available for Android and iOS

Gmail users can now use Gmail’s Confidential Mode to send self-destructing emails on Android and iOS devices. We reported on the new Confidential Mode feature in Google Mail back in May when it was released, but it was only available on desktops at the time. The same feature is now available on mobile devices using the Gmail app. How it works: Compose an email on your phone, then click the settings button in the top right. Select “Confidential Mode” and you’ll be asked to add an expiration date and optionally a password. As we’ve mentioned, confidential messages are hosted on Google ’s servers and don’t work through third-party email clients. This has its drawbacks for recipients who don’t open their emails from Google’s messaging service. They’ll have to click a link to open the message in a browser. However, everything works fine if you only use Gmail and not an email client. It should be noted that many people question the security of the new feature, as there are screenshots. However, it may be useful if you want to send passwords to yourself… _____________________Gmail Confidential Mode now available for Android and iOS
