Oculus is releasing a new PC-, called the Rift S.

Oculus headsets stand out thanks to their unique design. The Oculus Rift, Go, and Quest are very similar to each other. There is a purity to the design, which gives the headset a unique look.
However, the new Oculus Rift S is different from other Oculus headsets. It looks more like a Windows Mixed Reality headset. This difference is due to the fact that it is made by Lenovo. The headband is quite similar to the one we see on Lenovo headsets. There is even a Lenovo logo on the side, but this is just a collaboration with Oculus. Lenovo is not the “main name”.
Of course, there are many elements of classic Oculus headsets, such as the built-in speakers on the sides of the headband (found on the Oculus Go and Quest). These speakers provide great sound and block out any noise. When you're playing, you don't hear anything that's going on in the real world.
The Rift S is covered in 5 cameras that work together to create a tracking system. It also has a feature that will allow you to see, through the camera, what is happening around you, allowing you to roam around different spaces with the headset without any problem.
As for the Rift S controller, the design is different from the classic Oculus Touch. It's essentially the same as the Oculus Quest controller. These controllers are a bit smaller than the classic Touch controllers but are easy to use.
The Oculus Rift S experience is very similar to the existing Rift experience. Same UI, same games.
Sure, the new Oculus has better fresnel lenses and better resolution, but it looks a lot like the Rift.
The best thing about the new Oculus Rift S, however, is that you don't have to be glued to your computer, as there are no cameras to connect. The only cable coming from the headset is behind you, which is very convenient when playing, as you can move around without it getting in the way.
It's not a huge innovation, but it's a pretty good upgrade over previous headsets. The Rift S will also be priced at $399, which is considered a very good price compared to others on the market.
