The special edition of this controller is the second in the series.
During Tuesday's Inside Xbox , Xbox announced a new wireless controller, which will be added to the Sport series.
The new controller is called the Sport Red Special Edition and is the second in the series that was released last summer. The first in the series was called the Sport White Special Edition and came in mint, gray, and silver tones.
The new controller comes in a predominantly red color scheme with transparent and darker shades of red on the buttons and joysticks, and a metallic red D-pad. There may also be some silver surfaces on the front.
The dark red rubber grips on the back are designed to provide comfort and prevent your hands from tiring when you play for long hours.
The wireless controller comes with a 14-day free trial of Xbox Live Gold, as well as Xbox Game Pass in some regions.
The Sport Red Special Edition will be available for purchase on March 5th and will cost $69.99.
Alongside the new controller, Xbox has announced the Sport Red Special Edition Xbox Pro Charging Stand - an official Xbox Pro Charging Stand from Controller Gear, featuring the exact same design. The charging stand will be available in North America on May 1st for $49.99.
Xbox is known for its unique controller designs, releasing a glow-in-the-dark Sea of Thieves controller and taking a giant step forward by creating the Xbox Adaptive Controller for gamers with mobility issues this fall.
