While everyone knows that Apple Podcasts isn't perfect, it's certainly improved over the years. Here are four new features we'd like to see in iOS 13 soon.

1. Upload content from iCloud Drive/Files App
Let's take Overcast as an example. Overcast allows you to upload audio files through its official site and, to be precise, it was recently upgraded and gave 10GB of storage space to users. Castro also made a similar move. However, the absence of this specific feature from Apple is a weakness of iOS, as in the case where someone wants to listen to an mp3 file, they must first connect to the Mac or enter Safari.
2. Click on Time Stamps
A very useful feature for Apple Podcasts is “clickable timestamps.” Other companies like Overcast already have such a feature. Apple doesn’t have it yet, but if they add it, users will definitely be satisfied, because they will have the opportunity to listen to only the topics that interest them and at the same time they will be able to share podcasts at specific timestamps.
3. Apple Pay Cash
The podcast industry has been growing steadily over the years, thanks to the advertising industry and support services like Patreon. If Apple decides to add donations to Podcasts via Apple Pay Cash, podcasters will be able to link their Apple Pay Cash account via Podcast Connect. This way, listeners will be able to donate to shows they want to support.
4. Friends and Creators
The final feature is the addition of a “follow friends and creators” list. This feature will help users watch more shows and episodes as they are recommended by friends and acquaintances. Along with this, Apple could also add a “For You” for more suggestions and information based on what the user’s friends are listening to.
So these are just a few of the new features we would like to see in the latest versions of Apple Podcasts.
