MacBook Pros with VEGA graphics cards are coming

With Apple's announcement yesterday of the refreshed iPad Pro, MacBook, and Mac mini, there was also a "silent" announcement about the MacBook Pro series, which will soon be released with a more powerful graphics card. Apple will release new MacBook Pro models, which for the first time will have AMD Radeon Pro Vega series graphics chips, which will be the first time they will be used in Apple's portable devices.

Apple claims that using AMD's VEGA series will increase performance by 60% compared to the models released to date. Currently, the most powerful model that has been announced to use the new MacBook Pro is the Radeon Pro 560X. The VEGA 56 and 64 cards are already available for the iMac Pro, and are intended for image and audio creation as well as for very demanding professionals.

The official price of the refreshed MacBook Pros has not yet been announced, but we do know that you will be able to order them in November. Apple also announced a new GPU-Boosting solution for new MAC owners, which it calls the Blackmagic eGPU Pro.

This new external dock will accept graphics cards intended for desktop computers and will dramatically increase the performance of MACs, as long as they have a thunderbolt 3 port. The new BlackMagic will be equipped with the RX VEGA 56 and will have additional expansion ports. Specifically, it will have two thunderbolt 3, four usb 3, one HDMI 2.0 and one Displayport 1.4.
