Windows 10 overall is an operating system based on user feedback and Microsoft uses the Windows Insider Program to give us the opportunity to test the builds of the operating system before they are released and then provide suggestions on what needs to be improved.
Steve Teixeira, who is today General Manager, Partner App Experience, Windows and Devices Group at Microsoft, hopes that users can help improve Notepad and Calculator, so tweet – earlier this week to ask for help.
“Returning from your seminar I reveal that I am now the proud owner of many #Windows applications, including notepad and calc. What should we do?”, he said.
It's unnecessary to tell you that it had almost 150 replies to the tweet and many asked for new features in Notepad, including the UWP version from the Microsoft Store.
Teixeira went on to ask Notepad and Calculator users a few questions , some of which are coding-related, as it turns out that many people still use the basic text editor for programming.
If you are one of the many Notepad fans, make sure you have gotten in touch with Teixeira, as he is the right person to send improvements.
And at the same time, you should also install the Windows 10 October 2018 Update, as it also brings several Notepad improvements, including intergration with Bing in the menu.
