After waiting for several days, Microsoft is finally going to release the new Windows 10 update for its users on April 30. The company delayed the update due to a BSOD that appeared at the last minute.
One of the positives of the case is that the update now has a more appropriate official name: Windows 10 April 2018 Update. Many people consider it much better than the previous names, Fall Creators and Spring Creators, because now it is easier to know the month and year of the update.
As you already know, Timeline is the biggest feature that Microsoft has added to its new update, and to Windows in general. It is an attempt to simplify the user experience across their various devices, allowing them to continue their work on different devices. And it will not be limited to the Windows operating system, as Microsoft recently started testing the Timeline feature on Android and iOS devices via the Edge Browser.
The new update also brings improved voice functionality to Windows 10. Users can now use voice functionality anywhere to take notes or write an article.
Microsoft has also empowered its digital assistant Cortana to take control of users' smart homes directly from a Windows 10 PC running the April Update. It can control a variety of devices, including Nest, ecobee, Honeywell, etc.
Additionally, the Edge browser gets a number of new features, such as a mute button. The printer interface now has an option that removes unnecessary elements before printing web pages. Edge comes with built-in grammar tools, which can break an article into syllables, and can also color-code different parts of speech such as nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
So if you're looking forward to the Windows 10 April 2018 Update, get ready to have it on your computer starting Monday.
