A police operation is currently underway following reports of an armed attack and shooting at YouTube's headquarters in San Bruno, California.
In a post on Twitter, Vadim Lavrusik, the company's product manager, confirms the incident, saying that he heard gunshots while in his office and saw people running in panic.
Active shooter at YouTube HQ. Heard shots and saw people running while at my desk. Now barricaded inside a room with coworkers.

The photo below, which was leaked on Snapchat, shows YouTube employees walking out of the building, with their hands up, and being searched by police officers.
No further details have been released, but local authorities have urged people to stay away from the Cherry Avenue area where the company's headquarters is located. Multiple calls to police have been received from inside the building, according to reports from local news station KRON.
In the video below you can see some first shots from the scene of the attack.
Hundreds of employees are posting photos and videos of the police intervention, while there are multiple employee testimonies reporting the presence of an active female shooter. There is also talk of injured employees, although the exact number has not been clarified.
